Superior Fight Lab<\/b> opened its doors at 425 N Dixie Highway, in Pompano Beach<\/b>, with one idea behind every square foot of it: a room where Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu<\/b> and MMA<\/b> live under the same roof, at the same standard, without either one being treated as the side program. The mats, the bags, the way the floor is laid out \u2014 all of it was put together for training first.<\/p>\n

On opening day, the mat was already international. Athletes from the NFL<\/b>, NBA<\/b>, UFC<\/b>, PFL<\/b>, and the Olympics<\/b> came through the door in Pompano Beach to see the gym open. That was not luck. SFL was born inside a world that elite sport already moves through. Opening day was the spectacle. Every day since has been the actual work.<\/p>\n

What happens here is straightforward. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu<\/b>, gi and no-gi, is the foundation everything else stands on. MMA & Striking<\/b> covers the rest of the room \u2014 MMA and Pro Boxing today, with space to grow as the coaching staff grows. Kids BJJ<\/b> takes children from 5 to 12<\/b> and teaches them to fall, get up, and hold their ground. The Private Program<\/b> is one-on-one, by appointment, for people who want the correction to be theirs alone.<\/p>\n

The gym exists because of a standard that was built somewhere else first. Yasser Salman<\/b> grew Superior Exotics<\/b> almost entirely on word of mouth, until it became one of South Florida’s go-to addresses for people who live on high performance \u2014 pro athletes, celebrities, clients who fly in from Dubai. Excellence there means treating every detail like the whole world is watching. Superior Fight Lab was built to bring that same standard to people, right next door. On the floor, the staff is small on purpose. Edgard Dutra<\/b>, head coach, holds a 5th-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu<\/b> \u2014 lineage Murilo Bustamante<\/b>, Austregesilo Reis<\/b>, Cassio Werneck<\/b> \u2014 with more than twenty years bringing students up in Florida, from a first day on the mat to black belt. Sitik “Cosmonaut” Muduev<\/b> runs MMA: a professional fighter out of Dagestan<\/b>, the region that has reshaped the sport over the last decade, with a career built in organizations like Eagle FC<\/b> and LFA<\/b>. Fewer people on the mat is a decision, not a stage we are passing through. It means the person fixing your grip is the person whose name is on the class. It means nobody trains here anonymously, and nobody gets lost in the back row.<\/p>\n

One hour of the day, the mat belongs to the kids \u2014 first falls, first stripes, parents watching from the edge. The next, it belongs to adults training like athletes. Same mat, same standard. That is how a gym turns into a family.<\/p>\n
